Sounds like typical latino manneri...LOL! Love it!! <br />Sounds like typical latino mannerism---not surprised you're getting stared at a little bit but do not be afraid. As for the honking, I am already assuming it is men honking at you because they think you're pretty :)<br /><br />I'm sure the slang is different there but if someone is hitting on you, remember words such as: "guapa," "bonita," "bella," etc... they may have other words though as it is Peru. Those are some of the ones I know but believe they are more restricted to Central American & Caribbean. They may say some others based on the "quechua" language that is local to there. <br /><br />As for the weather, isn't it winter there at the moment? Take tons of pictures in Machu Pichu!
